Marketing communications content template

A lot of the workload in my day job as a writer is corporate and commercial communications, and whenever I’d embark on a drive to win more of it, all I had to send prospective clients was links to the work when it had finally been published or – because you often never find out where or when your work appears in that industry (quite different from journalism) – original text files that were neither user friendly nor attractive.

I needed a design template in which to situate the content from marketing communications work in order to sell it better, and after looking around for some inspiration, my mandate to myself was (weirdly) the forms the pharmaceutical industry uses to market its products; steadfast, balanced, simplistic, grid-like and no-nonsense.
